C.I.M: merger
Constructions Industrielles et Maritimes (C.I.M) and Nautitech Catamarans merged in 2010. Sharing the same premises in Rochefort since 2008 and belonging to Marine Développement Holding, these two companies have Bruno Voisard as President. Over some 12 000 m2, the facility includes four integrated workshops, a painting booth and a drying hall. All the trades are available: carpentry, cabinetmaking, mechanics, hydraulics, refrigeration, electrics and electronics.
CNB: 1,000 miles a month
Since they were launched in 2009, CNB yachts have sailed an average of 1,000 miles a month. At the Cannes International Yacht Festival, visitors could admire Chrisco, the first yacht with an entire glass coachroof: by then, she had already sailed halfway around the world. There’s nothing like it to prove a yacht’s seaworthiness!
CNB: Lagoon Custom
CNB launches Lagoon Custom, a concept of luxurious cruising catamarans designed by five famous naval architects. These super catamarans can be customized according to their owner’s wishes.
JFA : refit
JFA Shipyard has invested in a brand new, 720m2 construction facility in Concarneau, NW France, where a 110’ carbon catamaran has just been built. Connected to a boat hoist, this new infrastructure enables the yard to extend its refit offer: JFA has just accommodated a 95’ multihull on its now multipurpose premises.
CMN : the Monegasque jet-set
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Monaco Yacht Show, CMN shipyard organised two special evenings on board Cloud 9, which also played host to the official Monegasque delegation. The magazine Elite Traveller, in partnership with JIK, had the place of honour during the first evening. The second event was devoted to design, in partnership with Andrew Winch Designs, Edmiston and BMW.
Incidences : records and victories
Incidences sail makers congratulate the crews they successfully equipped for their record campaigns: 24-hour record and the Transatlantic Record for the giant trimaran Banque Populaire, the round-the-world Jules Verne Trophy for Groupama, the Solo Transatlantic Record for Sodeb’O, as well as the Solo Round-the-world for Idec. Moreover, the victory of the Wally 80 Ryokan 2, in the Nespresso Cup 2011 with Incidences’ sails, marks a first in this series.
Tenderlift : new features at Quai Ouest
In its new premises at Le Canet’s nautical hub – where all the trades are available to accommodate yachts of more than 20 meters-Tenderlift has boosted its workforce and extended its range of services to mechanics, stainless steel and aluminium sheet metal work, as well as hydraulics and electrics, thus responding to the increasing demand for hydraulic platforms and navigation aids (ie Lagoon, who equips all its largest yachts with Tenderlift equipment).
